Tiny little Mako?

Miocene tooth from a recent Matoaka trip. I realized I didn’t know what it was and I couldn’t let that stand. looks a bit strange but maybe a posterior lower Isurus desori?

Your tooth looks like an I. desori.  The tooth has a lot of root erosion but looks like an upper anterior tooth.  Your tooth is definitely not a posterior tooth.  The dentition of I. desori was very similar to that of the exrant I. oxyrinchus.  See below for an extant I. oxyrinchus dentition.
