No idea what it could be.  Could you provide something for scale?

2 interesting features though.  they look somewhat symmetrical in this photo

Not getting a fossil vibe from this one :unsure: 

 

I would guess weathered, suggestively shaped sedimentary rock.

artifact vibe for me. 

Maybe you can poke around in those holes I pointed out with a needle and see if they go through.  I'm kind of wondering if it is some Native American ornament given where it was found.  But that is a long shot, I'm sure.

The bi-lateral symmetry is remarkable in this piece; very suggestive of an organic origin.
My first impression is an internal mold of a bivalve (a steinkern).
