Ok I also think it is time for us to see more of the members collections . So without further ado show us your Sphenacodontidae collection . is an extinct family of small to large, advanced, carnivorous, Late Pennsylvanian to  middle Permian pelycosaurs. Sphenacodontid fossils are so far known only from North America and Europe and have one of the most ironic creature ever to have lived in there ranks, Dimetrodon.

Here is the maxilla of a Sphenacodontid.  Sold as Dimetrodon but not sure, just not an expert on this group.  7 inches across.

Very cool fossils. But I don't have any specimens from this group of animals myself to contribute to this thread sadly.

Thanks Bobby.  Just have a few items from this group.  Have disposed most of this collection

 

Here is a humerus from a Dimetrodon about 6 inches.

@Troodon wow both beautiful but that dorsal vertebra is stunning. I am on the forum on my phone and can’t see the hole vertebrae with out scrolling down.:)  thanks Frank for adding to this post.

This is a replica of course, right? If I could get one really cheap, like super clearanced, I'd get one too. Ive seen some full metro reproductions for sale recently, I guess they're popular. One is just half mounted against a body shaped background wall, but I count that as a "full skeleton" repro, just with and asterisk next to it lol

That really nice but a lot of cash, if only. I have a claw so I have made a start :D Thanks again for adding to this thread and for given us all some Dimetrodon shaped fossil  candy. .
