Hi I was recently doing some planting when I came across this thing. Does anyone know what it could be? Our house was built in 1800 and this was located close to the stonewall that borders our property.

Welcome to the Forum! :)
Those are bone fragments. The first one might be a partial femur head. Wait for other opinions.

If it was a farm, might be the remains of a cow that was buried.  Or an obnoxious salesman. :headscratch:

I'd be out there digging to see if I could find something more identifiable...but I'm weird. :)

I try to dig around as much as I can....I have even tried a metal detector. I found very old glass......that’s it so far

The last owners?  Well, they were a quiet family. Never did find out what happened to their missing son.
