Spiral Fossil

I’m wondering what this fossil would be? Is it a sundial shell? It is on a slab of rock which was used as a pathway stepping stone in my yard in middle Tennessee.

Given the size, could this be a fish scale?

I hadn’t even considered it possibly being a fish scale. I just looked up pics. Very similar. Maybe so?

I think it's beekite replacement of the shells there. Nice examples.
