FossilNerd
Myself, and my family, have used Estwing products with the flat style handle for as long as I can remember. Claw hammers, rock hammers, axes/hatchets, etc. Myself, nor anyone in the family, has ever had issues hurting ourselves with the handle of one of their hammers. I’ve smashed more than one finger with the head, but never any issues with the shaft of the tool. I have only ever seen one Estwing all steel hammer break (defect in the metal that runs inside the handle material) and it was promptly replaced by the company. I own a couple of Estwing hammers that are a lot older than I am. They will last a lifetime and then some. There is a reason they are so popular amount fossil/geology enthusiast and wood enthusiast alike. 1 The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. -Neil deGrasse Tyson Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't. -Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
