Can someone help me ID this barnacle?

Good morning! :) I'm not finding a picture of this guy. Most my other barnacles are purple acorns. Haven't found another like this one. I'd like to know a little more about him. Is it a type of acorn barnacle? Thanks! (Sw Fl, on an oyster, pliocene) P.S. Just pulled it out of a bath, sorry it's still wet...

Definitely a barnacle with those views. My book only discusses the acorn and goose. It could be calcified giving it the white color. Good Luck!

Kind of has some similarity to a Tamiosoma advena that MikeR ID'd for me but it might be one of the Chesaconcavus sp. or one of the others you run into. Yours looks a little worn and appears to have a broader opening  but barnacle ID'ing with all their variations without their internal plates is for the pros unless you are very familiar with them...I've been wrong so many times it aint funny anymore but I dont discourage easily and I still like looking and collecting the dang things.

I dont have a copy but if you can track down this article it has a bunch of great barnacle stuff in it. Maybe one of the other members has it stashed somewhere...
