1. Partial mammal tooth? (Peace River FL, Mio, Plio or Pleisto). Maybe a piece of horse.

 

 

2. Another partial mammal tooth (potentially odontocete? also Peace River FL).

7. Salamander mouth plate (Lance formation).

8. Tooth of some kind (Wenonah formation, Ramanessin Brook NJ). Didn't appear to be crocodilian or mosasaur, could be plesiosaur or large fish.

It's about a centimeter in diameter. When I looked online there were fossils which looked similar to 7 that were labelled as salamander. However I've learned not to trust google image search for fossils, especially ones that are less recognizable (remember my Melvius and Champsosaurus tooth confusion).

#6 could be a coprolite, but it looks like it is coated with granular material. Coprolites from the Lance will stick if you touch them to the tip of your tongue. Look for a smooth spot, perhaps the broken end and test it there. If the whole thing is coated with granular material, try scraping the broken end with an X-acto blade. Coprolites from this formation can also be fine grained on the exterior with an iron-rich core like this one.

Thanks for the advice. I just tested it and it stuck for about 3 seconds before falling into my lap.

So you do think salamander (maybe scapherpeton ?) as opposed to bowfin?

Not positive but bowfin are bigger and the top of the tooth is flat.  That Salamander is a candidate but there are others in the Lance
