Partial large shark tooth, Jacksonville Florida

I think that could be a partial Parotodus benedeni based on the curved crown and large root.

Edit: Spelling correction.

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

Hard to say, but I agree it does look like a P. benedeni. A very rare tooth!

Happy hunting,

The second I saw it I was thinking to myself that it looks like a parotodus benedini. A really nice find:).

Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils;).
