Wolf89
Are the fossils that the Aurora museum sells authentic? I'm skeptical because their selling fully rooted mosasaur teeth for $6. Seems too good to be true
caldigger
Does the barrier boundary between the root and the crown look a different color than the rest of the root?
LordTrilobite
We'd need good photos to properly give any sort of judgement. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
RickNC
I would say yes unless indicated they are not real.
ynot
@sixgill pete might know. I would suspect that there are franken teeth from Morocco in the museams gift shop, because the people that run the place are locals rather than fossil nuts like We are. Random pieces of bone filed down to look roughly like a root and then glued on to a real tooth crown. Very common from Morocco. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
Troodon
I'm not sure that local museum would know the difference.

Coco
I can see only the pic posted on August 17th at 16:39 (04:39 PM), resumed by Lordtrilobite by a quotation. I think that there was one in your first message but I don't see it. Is it right ? LordTrilobite
I don't think there was a picture in the original post. That's why I commented on the lack of any picture. After which Wolf89 posted an comparable example. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

RJB
The 3 teeth in the photo are all frankin teeth. Teeth are real, root is made of bone and a manmade matrix. RB
