Successful Florida Creek Hunt!

Cris

Recommended Posts

I managed to get out for a hunt with some friends a couple days ago. Lots of rain here in Florida means the rivers are flooded, but the creek hunting is good. We managed to find a new spot that hasn't been hunted before and pulled some very nice fossils out. I am actually going back to this spot in a few minutes, because I'm obsessed. :ighappy:

If you're not interested in watching the video, here's a bunch of the finds (but not all):

A big dugong vert.

Two megs from the same screen.

A pretty little mako!

And some of the shark tooth highlights from the end of the hunt!

Can't wait to get back there later today and see what else is hiding in there! :D

What video? I got a closed link.

Nice finds even without a video of the hunt.

Thanks for sharing, the timelapse portion in your video was very well done, it is interresting to see how you actually dig up and sort the gravels

Excellent finds and some beautiful colors, congrats:fistbump:

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!

@Cris Just curious how many hours it took to come up with this loot? Also how many locations/creeks, did you have to sift through?

I sure wish we had shark teeth that big in Texas. Great trip report.

Dang junior, the only thing you didn't find was Spanish gold.  Oh well you'll probably find that with the next shovel full.  Best of luck.
