Found in creek near joplin mo. Sorry my pic does no justice. Technology new to me. Can help identify? Thank you all.

Hi, take a photo in bright day light, it's the best to do and as is said above, with a scale and of all angles. Do you know the stratigraphic age of that area ?

It is a steinkern of a paleozoic echinoid. I can see a couple ambulacra running down the sides.

It certainly is an echinoid, an urchin to be more precise. I also see a couple of ambulacra.
