Uncle Siphuncle
I attended my 30 year high school reunion last weekend in Cincinnati, and brought my wife and son along for a family weekend. But when my wife rolled in on a later flight, I seized a tiny break in the schedule to survey a wildcat site near the airport. I grabbed one ventral Flexicalamene molt, not a bad grab for the time available at a random stop. 3 Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils." Uncle Siphuncle
I also grabbed another little fragment which could just be a bryozoan, but the interrupted surface threw it in question. I submit this probable throwaway for your collective opinion. 1 Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils."
Uncle Siphuncle
Other than that, this is about as close as I got to trilobites. 4 Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils."
WILDKYLE
Really cool stuff! We don't get this down in Florida so it's really awesome to see. Fossil hunting from dawn til' dusk!
Kane
I think you have it with bryozoan for the second piece, at least judging by the zooecia. The interruptions could point to some kind of branching or depositional reworking/distortion. These look like fairly stormy deposits. Nice ventral Flexicalymene moults you have there. Not bad at all for 15 minutes of poking around! Hopefully you'll have another opportunity to look around a bit more if you haven't already flown back home. 3 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

Tidgy's Dad
Very good for 15 mins. Much better than taking a toilet break. Yes, a bryozoan. I would lean towards Prasopora if it weren't for those off branches on the side. Hmmm. 2 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Miocene_Mason
Nice, great flexi bits! “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Raggedy Man
Interesting site. Is this a roadcut? Hopefully you get a chance to hit it again and find a complete trilobite with your name on it! ...I'm back.
