Nimravis
When I got home from work today, my 4 year old grandson, who is staying with us until Friday, ran up to me and said he found a trilobite at the park today. So off in the car we went to see his discovery and low and behold, he found a trilobite, though not real. Hopefully he will enjoy fossils like me, but right now he is into his drums and electric guitar.
Tidgy's Dad
Okay, not real, but he clearly has the eye! Positive step. Really nice and genuine smile too! Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Darktooth
Atleast he was excited enough to tell you about it! That's a step in the right direction! I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
Mediospirifer
What a great way for a park to spark kids' curiosity! Catch 'em early... He's a cute one, and looks excited. Hopefully, he'll keep being curious and observant.
Miocene_Mason
Today, fake trilo. Tomorrow, real holotypes. Well, perhaps that’s a little too far to deduce right now, but I’m glad he’s excited! “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Nimravis
@Tidgy's Dad , @Darktooth , @Mediospirifer and @WhodamanHD - the one nice thing is that if I take him collecting, he is closer to the ground and less bending for me.

A couple boulders over there was a nice ammonite.
ynot
Whoop, whoop for the little tike! You should let Him help whacking some concretions! Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Well he calls it a Tri-bite, but I think that is still pretty good. This piece is also at the park and represents plants, vertebrates, and invertebrates.
