I have what looks like possibly agates with tight bands, layers and patterns. Or possibly a type of volcanic glass? The yellowish one is transparent. The red one is almost transparent but looks like red amber. And the neon orange has patterns like an agate. I tried to get better pics but I really can't. I have never seen such color before. Thank you!

I also think glass.  But pretty cool glass.  I had friends who used to find old "slag heaps" from glass makers...

They were after antique glass and I think yours is more modern.

I think it is glass and the first piece really reminds of some vintage fish my late mother had when we was kids.

Your pieces are kind of cool I think.

I disagree with this, because davis creek obsidian is primarily black with a metallic sheen do to microscopic inclusions.

Gotta go with ynot on that.  Never seen anything like that from davis creek. Or anywhere else for obsidian. The closest thing to obsidian in this thread is the first picture. But even that is too clear

Rarely, obsidian has an iridescent or metallic "sheen" caused by light reflecting from minute inclusions of mineral crystals, rock debris, or gas. These colored specimens are known as "rainbow obsidian," "golden obsidian," or "silver obsidian," depending upon the color of the sheen or iridescence. These specimens are very desirable for the manufacture of jewelry.

The colors of rainbow obsidian are only visible when the light is at the correct angle to be refracted. The apparent color when viewed without the sheen is black or occasionally gray.

It actually has some purple and blue bands with the gray

Yes, but the purple and blue are from light refraction, it is not the actual color of the obsidian.

Think of the rainbow You can see with a prysm.
