This looks more like a weathered piece of limestone to me, rather than a footprint.

Do you have any more pictures of it, from directly above the item?

I'm not sure that my bloodhound could find a footprint here.  More pics=more helpful.

Looks like a good place to grind corn, but I expect it's of geological origin. Cracks, moisture, and freeze/thaw result.

Welcome to the forum.

Agree with the others can you outline the perimeter what you believe is the print.

Thanks to everyone for their comments.  Especially the sarcastic ones.

Here is rough outline of the print.  I apologize for not doing this at first.  I believed it to be pretty obvious, but alas I was mistaken

There are three distinct toes, the most obvious on the left, partially filled, but distinctly outlined in the middle and fully filled, but distinctly outlined, on the right.

It is most definitely a print of some kind, is found in an area of Texas known for prints and in this specific area there is a tremendous number of plant fossil imprints in the rock, as well as plant castings littered everywhere.

Thanks again for any help!

I'm afraid I see no print here, just weathering marks and some faint iron staining.

Jeff while I agree that the sarcasm was not necessary, I too do not see anything that makes me think this is a dinosaur footprint.

since you state this was found in an area of Texas know for footprints and the specific area known for plants; can you be more specific as to where? This could shed some light on what it could be. Maybe not dino but something else.

Thanks for the response.  Although not clear in the photo, there is crystal growth in what appears to be the toe areas and very distinct outline there.

This was found about 8 miles East/NE of Ft. Stockton, TX

Hopefully someone who is knowledgeable of the geology of the area will be able to help.
