Unknown Wyoming Find

I found this rock just outside of Riverton, Wyoming in an area with a lot of chalcedony. I believe the surrounding material is from the Wind River formation. I am unsure if this is some sort of fossil or an interesting rock. Any information would be helpful.

You have a schist with an unknown black mineral. There is a slight chance that the dark mineral that forms the radial clusters might be kyanite since it looks similar to the mica rich kyanite schist found in the Phoenix Mountains. The groundmass might have mica if it is silverish and shiny.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
