23cm Phylloceras ammonite on a custom steel stand.

This is a 23cm Phylloceras ammonite whose shelled has been removed to reveal the intricate suture pattern beneath. The stand is custom made out of steel(very heavy), then powder-coated with hammertone silver paint.

 

Early Jurassic–Late Cretaceous
Age range: 235.0 to 66.043 Ma
Tulear in southern Madagascar

I must have misunderstood. I thought this absolutely gorgeous specimen was being auctioned off to benefit TFF:doh!:
