Nice haul of brachs from Georgetown todày. The Bellevue and Corryville are exposed are this this road cut.

Rafinesquina sp., Hebertella occidentalis ,Vinlandostrophia ponderosa, Vinlandostrophia laticosta and V. cypha. 

Ordovician about 445m years old.

 

They are all available for trade.

I am so depressed. I drove by this site last weekend....the entire south side of the portion west of the river (the most productive side) had been 'shaved" back all the way to the top. There is some road work going on. No longer the beautiful craggy productive spot it used to be.  The North side (with the waterfall) remains the same.

 

May take a long time for it to erode back to the way it was. Would love to know where they took all that material.

 

Anyone know when this occurred?
