Ludwigia
You're a lucky duck, I'd say. Did you prep it yourself? Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

Fossildude19
I'm sorry, but one picture is not enough! This is wonderful. Can we get the story behind the find? And more pictures?? 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." digit
Yes, yes! More photos, please! Any photos of it in situ or how it looked before that fabulous prep would be wonderful. We can only dream of such finds here in South Florida. Having just finished reading a book on Mary Anning, I'd love to hear the story of that find. Cheers. -Ken
MattFossil
Thanks for the kind comments, This is more of a response than I had expected! It's quite a compact beasty. About 1m long I think but still weighs an absolute ton. It was in a huge block of limestone over a foot thick that took some beating to take down. Shame to have to do it really but a necessary evil and it glued back quite well. The only clue that it was there was a few teeth wearing out the front of the block. The upper front rostrum tip is composite but the rest of the skeleton is completely original. Cheers, Matt

KimTexan
Wow!!!! That is the most awesome personal find I think I’ve seen on here!! Outstanding. More of a response than you expected. I’m surprised more didn’t take note. I certainly missed it at the time of the post. Thats a find worthy of starting a fossil addiction or obsession. It only took one ammonite to get me hooked. When did you find it?
