MRfossilMISTER
without a doubt, fish fossils are my favorite type of fossils. the fact something so squishy at first can be turned into stone in a million years or 2 absolutely FASCINATES me. i also have not seen much "lets see your latest" discussions, so i decided to make this . games are fun, but finding fossil is even better! Tidgy's Dad
I only have this picture of my latest fishy; a pycnodont from Lebanon, about an inch long. 5 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
caldigger
Awe, how cute! I keep trying to make one by pressing a goldfish between two pieces of flagstone, but it never seems to get beyond the stinky yucky mess stage.
Brittle Star
Hi, Permian, Paleoniscum freieslebeni. Co. Durham UK. Not been fishing for ages. 6 Never ask a starfish for directions
Wrangellian
So that's what a Pycnodont looks like. I don't have much in the way of fish fossils (certainly no recent acquisitions) to show, but I do like to see such nice ones as the above. You want to see something squishy fossilized, have a gander at this!

Brittle Star
It's scales are bright enamel blue hence the reflection. Resides with a geologist in Hastings, he uses it in his lectures, 1 Never ask a starfish for directions

Miocene_Mason
My latest is this tooth, I got it to compare to some of the fossils I found in the Famennian (though I found no rhizodonts). I think it’s too small for rhizodus, so I think it may be another rhizodont or even strepsodus. 1 “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason

thelivingdead531
I have a slight obsession with fossil fishies, as well. And I absolutely love tiny fishies! Here are my fish, the most recent one I bought yesterday and don’t have it in hand yet. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them!

It was one of my first fossils that got me started on this wonderful and addicting hobby, but I’m a little said that it’s painted. I still love it though! 5 hours ago, MRfossilMISTER said: also in pic 2, is that a calymene trilo i see? also cool ammonite in rock . Yes, it is, and a poorly preserved one at that lol. LiamL
I usually always take pictures of my new fossils, but i have not done to this one. It's nothing rare, two Knightia fishes. This is the sellers picture of the fossils. Has some weird colouration. Probably tried to hide paint in the picture!
