I'm thinking bone as well. Not sure about dugong but I guess thats a possibility...Most all of the dugong stuff I have is extremely dense and very fine grained and have some, but not large areas in the way of cancellous/spongy structure.

Thanks @Plantguy I compared it with known dugong fossils and it seems to be two porous. I think this is a very small portion of a very big bone other marine mammals perhaps. Thanks Again!

It could be whale, dolphin, or something similar. It's true that dugong bone is denser than this, I might have been a little hasty with my previous conclusion :)

Thanks guys! @Max-fossils@Plantguy Just arrived from the Peace river. It was 12 feet above the level I left it last Sunday. Where I parked my car last Sunday was 2 feet below water. So I decided to experiment in other streams and got some funky stuff including turtle (or sea turtle) shells with spikes. Will post in ID later today.
