Since I am brand new to Miocene fossils, I’m hoping the Fossil Forum community can help me identify the following fossils I found at Flag Ponds over Labor Day weekend.

Group 1 - Cetacean or impressions left by invertebrates?

Barnacle

Thank you!  I’ve never seen a barnacle portion like that so it really puzzled me.

Bivalve internal mold. Possibly chesacardium ?

Wow - I would have never have guessed that one.  It is such an odd shape.

I picked up a fair share before I developed an eye for sharks teeth.

Yeah, pebble with shell impressions (probably from multiple species of shelled critter) and a barnacle fragment.

Have you guys ever heard of fossilized whale snot? In Lewes a seller showed me something just like the impressions fossil but without the impressions and told me it was whale snot... I have never seen anything like that and she may have been misinformed.

Fossil whale vomit would be possible, but quite a novelty. One would want to independently verify the sellers ID.

All yours for the very friendly price of 250 euros!

Grab it before someone else takes it, I've only got 5 specimens left ;)

I suspect that on a molecular scale all anyone needs to do is cap a jar and at a tiny concentration you would have the genuine article.

Besides the shell impressions, I think you also have internal molds of bivalves where arrows point. And also some lacy bryozoan fragments.Inked31D4BF1F-06E1-4833-B6C4-91CDB3FD39FA.jpeg.e885c696c95c3ed532e095c31a51e27f_LI.jpg.5d861ea560c197db9c61a66311973ba8.jpgInked470A0097-BB70-49AE-A043-65A60C19D112.jpeg.ef4de7aeb72439a4e8ddfe4a73824606_LI.jpg.c6c70feee22b088edc31149031a19502.jpg
