I thought I’d post some of my favorite claws from my collection. I’m curious what people think about my ID on one of them and I have no idea what the last one is. ID help with that one would be great!

What do you mean " broke off during molding"?

Were you making copies?

I lent it to an institution to mold. During that process, it was knocked off the table and the tip broke and was subsequently lost

Spinosaurus hand claw

We do not know what species of Spinosaurid this claw comes from and there is not even agreement how many there in that fauna and what taxons are valid..  Best described as Spinosaurid indet.

Two Acheroraptor killing claws. The larger one is 3 1/8” and the smaller is 1 9/16”

Hell Creek

Beautiful claws but we have no idea who belongs to these Dromaeosaurid foot claws and it may be Acherorapter since its the only small Dromaeosaurid described, to-date but its still an open mystery.  The only sketal remains found with the Holotype of Acherorapter was an upper and lower jaw.  So all foot snd hand claws are still a mystery.

Correct this is a Thescelosaurus claw.  For years most sellers called this pachy.

Claw is too dark to see detail, can you provide better lit ones of both sides and closer if possible.

Thank you for the kind comments, everyone! Troodon, I’ll make sure to post more/better pics of the claws you commented on and thank you very much for your insight!  Hxmendoza ID’d the dromaeosaur walking claw and hallux, but I’m always willing to hear what others think.

Paulyb135, I collect teeth as well. I have a fairly extensive collection of them, including deinonychus, dromaeosaurus, Acheroraptor, dakotaraptor, Rex, etc. I’ll make sure to post some of my favorite soon, but I have twin 3-year old boys who keep me busy, haha.

That’s a good point. I called them Acheroraptor because they aren’t Dakotaraptor (the only other described HC dromaeosaur), but since no claws have been positively assigned to Acheroraptor, no one can really know. So Dromaeosauridae sp. indet. would be more appropriate?

Here’s some better photos of the claws you wanted to see:
