I have seen real eggs with this matrix.

 

I can't tell if this egg is real or not. The color certainly doesn't look like the usual Henan ones I am used to. It looks like there's some restoration from the first picture.

That was in my mind, too.

And fragments seems not to fit to each other, see pic 2 + 3...

Difficult to tell from just these photos...
