Hi everybody, today is a sunny day here and all the past week was sunny.

I was in holidays on the boarders of the lake Salagou, which means in occitan (spoken in the south of France) salted taste.

This lake is artificial and represent a good reserve of water for the cultures and for the fight against fires.

It's soil is from the Permian and composed of red ruffes : clays very rich in oxides of iron.

Here and nearby, you can find tracks of some of the first reptiles that leaved on earth, the pre-mammalians.

Clermont l'Hérault and the Salagou are on the red Permian formation of Lodève.

Lodève itself has also a grey Permian with fossils of plants and, if you're lucky, of fish.

That little jumping spider kept a good eye on its fossil !

At about one hour of car, you also have the carboniferous plants of Graissessac.

Between Clermont l'Hérault and Cabrières (The equivalent for trilobites of Rome for Catholics), there is the Peak of Vissous (say Bissoo). Were, theorically i should have find trinucleides or at least some trilobites.

But i found none !

With a Shelter for shepherds in dry masonry on the forefront.

He's not the Shepherd but he courageously wore to the car the big block of coral i found.
