I once had another block from Khourigba with 2 rooted Igdamanosaurus teeth with after some prepping yielded 2 macro shark teeth, multiple fish verts, 1 mosasaur tooth, 1 Enchodus tooth and a couple of coprolites. And because this block was cheap and showed some great potenial with some fish verts and coprolites visable I thought it would be fun to see what else could be in there. Hi Ziggy! Awesome to read and scroll trough this topic and see your collection, it looks amazing! The topic title definitely stands its ground on the 'growing' part Im looking forward to this Mosasaur with Matrix to see what else is perhaps buried inside! ziggycardon
I've been a wee bit absent these past month on the forum but luckily the same isn't true for my fossil collection as I managed to get some cool new stuff these past months which I am eager to share with you lot I finally "completed" my proboscidean collection (which means I reached my goal of getting the 9 species on my wish list) A piece of American Mastodon jaw with a partial molar found in Florida, USA (Pleistocene) I also bought this nice looking molar which was listed as Kubanochoerus gigas, but I am quite convinced it is in fact a juvenile proboscidean molar belonging to one of the many Gomphothere species that can be found in Tongxin, Ningxia, China (Miocene, 11 mya) My finished Proboscidean display A Poebrotherium wilsoni jaw found in White River Group, Brule Formation, Fall River County, South Dakota, USA (Oligocene, 33 - 30 mya) A Dakosaurus tooth found in Haus, Schleicher, Tuchplatz, Reidlingen, Germany (Jurassic, 150 mya) Ofcourse they are the many lovely ammonites and piece of Whitby jet which I got from my Secret Santa @Welsh Wizard Dactylioceras commune found in Whitby, UK (Jurassic, 175 mya) Pseudolioceras lythense found in Whitby, UK (Jurassic, 175 mya) Hildoceras lusitanicum found in Whitby, UK (Jurassic, 175 mya) Hildoceras bifrons found in Whitby, UK (Jurassic, 175 mya) Grammoceras thouarsense found in Whitby, UK (Jurassic, 175 mya) A small rodent incisor which I found myself while searching for Shark teeth in Kruibeke (Pleistocene) Some rearranged displays: My enlangered Maastricht chalk display which I had to enlarge after our fossil hunt to Eben-Emael. My new Trilobite display And last but not least, I managed to buy a couple fo boxes with fossils from @Manticocerasman & @Natalie81 who where so generous that I left with almost double the amount of boxes The items include lots of fossils (mainly ammonites) from the Turonian & Cenomanian from Cap Blanc Nez, as well as a box with fossils from the Gault Clay from Cap Blanc Nez, some ammonites from Cap Gris Nez, a box full of fossils from Ault, lot's of Devonian material from Lompret, some Echinoids from Lixhe and much much more.
