help with pelvis bone

Jackier

Recommended Posts

Hello! I have found this bone along the road near a creek after a flood in Lancaster County, PA. I think it is a pelvis bone, but not sure from who. It is 15 inches across. Thank you for any help.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

I think it is possibly deer, and more than likely modern, not fossil.

Compare with these.

Having a picture with a measuring tape or yardstick would be helpful.

Put the bone in the right angle, then compare to the ones from below. Maybe these drawings are helpful. :)
