Roots, not fossil.

P.S. if we consider all these bark impressions fossils, couldn't this be considered a fossil record of these roots?

This is maybe a little bit off-topic but is there any real ancient (for example clovis) rock art in USA?

The Clovis peoples appear not to have produced any decorative artwork beyond the enigmatic embellishment of some utensils. The Anasazi, on the other hand, left behind some amazing rock art when they vanished circa 1,300 AD. Here is a link to a site on the subject:
