I am wondering is this a bryozoan, or something else? There are several of them in this rock. It is from my yard in middle Tennessee. (Mississippian, St. Louis Limestone & Warsaw Limestone)

Great! Thanks! (I actually got it right!) It is  the color and shard-like texture that were making me have doubts about it. :blink:

Lol! It seems like every other rock that I pick up around here has brachiopods in it. :)

I posted pictures of a small chunk of this rock a while back. I decided to post pictures of the other two, larger pieces of it today. There are a couple of dark areas that are raised and have a rough texture. What would those areas be?
