TqB
I hadn't seen an echinoid with beekite before so I had to buy it. Micraster glyphus?, Campanian, Höver, Germany. 9 Tarquin

The Amateur Paleontologist
That's a really neat specimen, but... what exactly is 'beekite'? Ludwigia
Luverly! It may be M.gibbus. Can we have a shot of the long side please? 3 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
TqB
Thanks, everyone! Beekite does make normal stuff look beautifully quirky and I think I've started a sub-collection for it. (So far, it has Carboniferous brachiopods and corals and one Cretaceous belemnite...) @abyssunder - thanks for the thesis link! @Ludwigia Here's the side view, Roger. It does look a lot taller than the glyphus I've seen. 1 Tarquin

I can't lay my hands on a nice looking one, I'll have to keep hunting! Here's a weathered scrap (about an inch across) of a large productid, silicified anyway as are many from around here though only some show the beekite rings. 1 Tarquin
