Middle Devonian of Livingston County New York

The Middle Devonian fossils of New York State are well known and have been for over 100 years. I grew up in Livingston County in whats called the Genesee River Valley. The streams that feed this river within the county are rich in Devonian fossils. I collect fossil corals, brachiopods, bryozoans, crinoids&blastoids, pelecypods, gastropods, cephalopods, phyllocarids, trilobites, fish, and wood. I rearranged my favorites in my collection and thought I would share since I feel the display will remain like this for some time. Out of the thousands of Middle Devonian fossils I have collected in 30+ years, these are the ones that mean the most to me.

Thanks,

Mikeymig

Museum quality collection. I am impressed!!!! I see other display cabinets in the mirror. it would be nice ( or nosey) to see those too, even though they didn't make your top cabinet.

DITTO!! (to what all the others have said.)

Thanks for showing Your display.

Are these pieces self collected?

Can You post a close up picture of the multi trilo plate  (center right first picture)?

From what we've seen in your previous posts over the years I expected no less. Exquisite.

Start the day with a smile and get it over with.

For what it's worth I believe Heterophrentis simplex is now Enallophrentis simplex:

U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY BULLETIN 2024

 (B) The Siphonophrentidae (Rugose Corals, Devonian) of Eastern North America, by William A. Oliver, Jr., pgs. B12-B16 (link below)

PS: Always great to see coral in collections. I find collections are more interesting when a diverse fauna is represented from a given strata.

Impressive, awesome collection. What can I say besides congratulations. Love to come out to Livingston County someday to collect corals.
