alej9582 Posted September 21, 2018 Share Posted September 21, 2018 Hi guys, I have this shell fragment with beautifull paterns but it is somewhat encrusted in Matrix. Looking at the matrix in detail I noticed some symmetry. Vertebra shape. I need some input on how to clean this. My concer is that if the calcium content hasn’t been fully substituted with silica I might damage the specimen using diluted vinegar. Any thoughts? See pics below.
