I think this is a geode, but it's pretty big. Can anyone tell me if it is, or whst it is? Please. I received it from a friend, I believe they found it in Montana, but I can't say for sure.

looks like a weathered geode to me

It is probably a mix of calcite and quartz. Test the hardness of the different areas to see if they will scratch with a knife.

It does not look right for a geode to Me. Rather has the appearance of a chunk of a mineralized vien.
