Interesting video. I've always wondered if anyone has suggested the possibility of these denticles having the same function as baleen in whales. Maybe a filter feeding shark. That could explain the lack of teeth associated with Listracanthus finds.

I think the lost specimen noted being covered in them on the outside. May be remembering wrong though.
