So to be honest, my untrained eyes wouldn’t have known these were fossils had I not dug them up myself. They look just like regulars shells. Do y’all have any tips that’ll educate me a bit? I have more if you need better pictures I just grabbed a handful. Look at the ultra mini, isn’t he cute?!

OK.

They are some nice little shells, but not really "micro" pieces.

Usually a micro fossil needs some type of magnification to see them (microscope).

I didn’t find anything  did I do it wrong?

First go to the TFF home page, then enter "stone city formation" into the search bar at the top of the page.

I got quite a few hits other than this thread.

As Tony said.  ;)

Or, use the "more search options" to change the search to "All Content".

I have two posts on microfossils "How to collect microfossils without breaking the bank pt 1 and 2) and  in my gallery ( 10 Mile Creek, Claiborne Group, M.Eocene) might help you identify some of your fossils. I believe there is a down loadable file with pics on the Dallas Paleo Society about the Whiskey Bridge Eocene site
