Dove the St Marys river Sunday with Subpay charters and had a productive day finding lots of megs, makos, great white, mammoth and whale teeth!

Great haul! Can we see some close-ups of the better finds?

Thank you! It ranged from about 6 inches to a foot depending on the spot and the current using 1200 lumen lights

This river was just as prolific in '67.  Don't know why I quit diving it.

The river produced for me in '82, but I know why I stopped diving there:  It was the hairiest blackwater diving I ever experienced.  We dived the river, not the bay.  Put in at the Rayonier (?) ramp well below US17.  The current on a falling tide was enough to drag two heavily-weighted divers and two 15-lb fluked anchors non-stop.  NO visibility -- strictly hunting by feel while being dragged along a cut bank of gelatinous muck of the salt marsh.  Did it a couple of times.  Found big megs and other things, but risk/benefit analysis dictated moving on to other rivers.
