Can anyone help our class out?

My students and I found this fossil in our garden but can't identify it. Can anyone help us based on the picture? Thank you so much! We think it's some sort of jawbone

Perhaps a closer image of the specimen may help, as well as any location information.

Yes, I believe I can make out teeth sockets, but as Kane has requested, it would help to have some sharp close-up images and at least the location of your garden in order to have an idea about what stratigraphical layer and time scale it belongs to. Was it a loose stone or is there similar stone imbedded in the garden?
