Ksgal
This one has me stumped. Is this just trace, or is there something here,?
Darktooth
I can't tell if is fossil or geological. Can you take any close-up pics? I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
KimTexan
It looks like trace/ichno to me. You may find this helpful. http://pages.geo.wvu.edu/~kammer/g231/TraceFossils.pdf
abyssunder
I agree with Kim. There might be ichnofossils, something similar to Thalassinoides . abyssunder
Very nice images. Thank you! I'll remain in the Thalassinoides possibility. Below is an example of Thalassinoides horizontalis which may have similar features. excerpt from P. M. Myrow. 1995. Thalassinoides and the Enigma of Early Paleozoic Open-Framework Burrow Systems. Palaios 10(1): 58-74 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. Darktooth
I have zero experience with trace/ ichno fossils so to me it looks like geological in nature. But that is what makes this forum great. There is a multitude of individuals here who possess different levels of knowledge, insight and perspectives on many different topics. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
