caldigger
I think it best to just leave the boxes unopened. The temptation to say " Oh look, there's a tear in the wrapping paper, I may as well open it now" is too great.
KimTexan
I was always the kid who could wait. My younger brother would go through great lengths to figure it out before hand. He actually got a razor blade and cut the tape, opened the package and the re-wrapped it one year. I think he smugly admitted to it upon opening his gift. I think he was 11.

caldigger
My sister's have admitted to doing the "sneak peek" maneuver with the carefully unwrapping and putting it back as found technique. I make a habit of not putting things out for prying eyes to see. Everything comes in with me Chistmas morning.

Only problem is I opened it thinking it was something I ordered already and then once I saw how many items were cramed in there I had to check my items shipping lol. pic heavy so I don't want to overload you all but wow. Thanks to whomever the person sending it was. I know you're on here somewhere! I'm glad it pleased you, and more, just before your birthday. Let us see your photos in Christmas. That's why all your packaging products come from the southern provinces. Donkey fur is too short to make good wrapping.

If so, maybe change the shipping address for your gift to "Grandma's House". This way you can still partake in the Xmas fun in a timely way. Just let Caldigger know if that is a possibility, as I had done before when I shipped to you. Happy Holidays, Mike That is a possibility, thanks for the idea. (I take it my Santa is in the US? That I didn't know)
caldigger
That's OK, so long as they ( the reciever ) doesn't know who it's coming from. Addresses and customs forms are a necessary thing. The whole Idea behind not telling anyone who it came from is it makes it more tempting to bribe the gamekeeper ( me) next year to "draw" a partner they like the stuff from. Not that I am open to bribery...cough, chewy chocolate chip cookies, cough, cough.
