Hey everyone! About 2 weeks ago, the VERY generous @AshHendrick gave a portion of his Aurora pile, straight from the mine! I put it around a wood frame in my yard, and have hunted it for hours almost every day. This will be an ongoing thread, I will prob not update every day, but at least weekly.

This is the pile. It's bigger than it looks in this pic (about 5.5 x 5.5 feet [a little less than 2 meters i think])

What I do is I sift into the bucket, so I don't go through it twice. I dump it somewhere else.

It is an upper cow shark tooth, probably Notorhynchus.

The last pic is actually a fossilized candy corn I have seen many of these in the past. Usually found under the bed in the kids rooms.

Nice finds so far!

Don't forget the micros from that site.... they are very nice and plentiful.

Awesome finds! That Squalodon is to die for.

For the shells, it would be good to see some pictures of the hinges. I'll probs be able to ID them then. :)

Had the same thought also from the root, but isn't there usually another point or two?

Nice way to work through it and a nice haul!   Does Aurora sell unsearched matrix or did your friend fill up something big and drag it to his  vehicle?

The very front upper tooth has a single cusp.
