Plantguy Posted October 12, 2018 Share Posted October 12, 2018 I'm actually thinking there are actual fossil fragments in there. I've outlined 2 of the crescent shapes that I'm thinking might be cross sections of some clams/bivalves and the small circle looks to contain some type of micro sized round shaped critter, maybe a gastropod/foram or some other invertebrate. Have you looked at this with a magnifying glass yet??...I think all of those small holes might be other traces of long gone casts/molds of things just too small to be seen without magnification. Thanks for showing us. Let us know about what you see under magnification if you have a way of looking closer. I'm also interested in what the local folks think as well.
