Juvenile t-rex tooth?

Patrik.S.Olsson

Recommended Posts

I stumbled upon a possible rex tooth which is only 0,75 inch and is labeled as a juvenile t-rex. I know that small tyrannosaur teeth is harder to identify but I cant deny that the bulkiness of this makes me believe its a rex tooth.
Its found in the hell creek formation of powder river county.
Boys and ladies , what do you think? :)

It is quite a bulky little tooth, from the right place and looking at my T.rex teeth it maybe? But I don’t have the skills to take more than guess. Nice find congratulations  @-Andy- may be able to help more too.

I havent found it myself, Its for sale. Unfortunately I live in sweden so theres not much dino material here, just some few remains found in the south.  Trilobites, orthoceras and different shell fossils are the most common ones. Mosasaur teeth can be found though in the south.

Ok sorry , it not easy to find good dinosaur material in the uk but you can. It is also hard to buy good quality dinosaur material from Uk most is very weathered and worn. Hold on a little ,you have some very knowledgeable poeple that have been invited to comment on this tooth I would wait for one of them to chipped in, if you can. This tooth is a little worn but if the price is right for you and the others say it looks good then go for it.?

I think it's a Rex. It's certainly bulky enough.

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

I see that I was summoned but I have very, very, little knowledge of Dino material. But what knowledge I do have, is to summon the all knowing @Troodon:D

It’s Rex.  Anterior and posterior denticles are the same size, meaning it’s not dromy, but tyrannosaurid. It’s too beefy for Nano.

Similar to turnips,  these root vegetables are members of the Brassica family, which includes cabbages, but the rutabaga is probably a hybrid of a cabbage and a turnip. Turnips are usually white-fleshed with white or white and purple skin. ... Rutabagas are sweeter than turnips.

Sorry, I misspelled the word, should have said rutabagas.

Ah, i thought about rutabaga but didn't found the traduction, thanks.

I often use turnips for the soup.

I don't think the T-Rex liked to drive their teeth Inside turnips, right ?:P
