Articulated Ichthyosaur Vertebrae

Recommended Posts

A recent Yorkshire, England find of mine, prepped by Mark Hawkes.

There are 3 perfect verts, neural arch still connected and a rib. Also bits of verts of either side.

Originally i found this in a water rolled stone with just one worn vert showing on the outside, but the contents inside were beautiful :)

Wow! Very neat ichthy fossil you found! You seen to have quite a bit of success with those, huh? ;)

Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy!

Q. Where do dinosaurs study?

A. At Khaan Academy!...
