Ideas for displaying elk vertebrae

I have some fossil elk vertebrae and I would like to display them upright.

 

Any suggestions for stands that can hold these in a stable way?

Are they articulated or all separate?

I would string them together and wear them as a necklace, you would be the talk of the town at the Elk’s Club.

You could make a frame out plywood that holds the verts in an articulated pose. You could cut out cardboard to prototype the shape to get it just right.

So they won't exactly fit together in an articulated pose?  What about placing them in a sunburst pattern similar to points of a clock?
