Have you considered taking a look at a geologic map of your area? 15 miles may seem really close but between that gap could be the difference of millions years of aged rock and your location may not be fossilferous. It seems like you’re interested to find out what’s right next door and would encourage you to take a look at some maps of the Sussex area.
