Pennsylvanian posters

Herb

Recommended Posts

Hi, all,

does anyone know where I can get/order some posters showing the Pennsylvanian forests? I am doing a presentation on plant fossils in Jan. and would like to accent it with art work,

thanks, Herb

Hey Herb, sounds like fun.

I had thought about getting those and may do someday if I get the spare room straightened out  but I last used my generic fossil posters as decorations and I have that big DK Prehistoric Life book 10X12" book and it has some awesome fossil plant photos and illustrations on Carboniferous plants that I brought and had open and displayed along with fossil samples/plates. Its 5+lbs hardcopy of awesome photos and illustrations of all kinds of fossil, plants, etc... I highly recommend for any type fossil enthusiast!

As to your question...If you look at fineartamerica.com for carboniferous forests you'll find some that are pricey. Art.com if you search for carboniferous has some that are a little bit more reasonable.

Good luck with the posters and pitch...

Regards, Chris

PS. allposters.com also has some showing up if you search for Carboniferous

Not really a poster but this book has some amazing illustrations of the carboniferous forests.
It's called "Evolution The Story of Life" by Douglas Palmer and it's basically an illustrated geological timeline.
I must admit, it's one of my favorite books regarding paleontology and the one I always take whith me when I go to school to teach kids about prehistory.
Here are some pictures that cover the pennsylvanian.
