Rudist hunting (3) in St. Bartholomä, Styria, Austria - 10/23/2018

Hello,

another surface rudist hunt in St. Bartholomä, Styria, Austria (Campanian St. Bartholomä-formation, Gosau-group).

This time not in a creek, just wandering in the forest. Two larger rudists were found, lying on the surface.

One for me, with partialy preserved upper valve:

... and one for the trolls, gnoms and dwarfs! It sticks firmly between two roots, so its clear to whom it may belong .

Here is another one from this hunt, it was also lying just on the surface, about 1 m away from the large V.v. above. It was a short fragment with mostly obscured pillars, so I have cut it in half...
