ricardo
Dear TFF, This trilobite ( max. 36 mm) is probably from Erfoud area, Morocco. I believe it will be recognisedby our Trilobita experts. Thank you very much.

ricardo
I purchased this small trilobite in an also very small shop in Erfoud town center.
piranha
The trilobite is Prionocheilus sp. but the eye morphology is incorrect. There was another one similar to this that recently sold on an online auction site. The eyes of Prionocheilus are significantly smaller, but the eye on this one has been augmented for aesthetic appeal. Unfortunately the imagination of the artisan does not match the actual anatomy. Here is a photo of the other one from the online auction followed by a specimen showing the typical small eyes.
Darktooth
Are you by any chance Ricardo Shilly Shally? I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

I saw a lot of trilobites for sale but I really do not know about to get them. I saw other shops with a lot of trilobites (most fake ones I suppose) I didn´t expect an artistic small inexpensive one! ricardo
So it is Ordovicician and not from Devonian (A lot of marine deposits arround Erfoud are Devonian). There is a picture of the specimen with magnification. I really didn´t imagine it will be an artistic cephalon. Thank you once Piranha for your kind and expert help. Sorry, I see you live In Portugal and probably have not heard of an American tv show called "The Big Bang Theory". I was making a reference to the show. One of the characters comes up with a fake character" Ricardo Shilly Shally" while telling a story. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
piranha
Additional photos from Ricardo show that the eye looks authentic. I emailed a colleague for another opinion on this unusual trilobite.
piranha
The glabella of Prionocheilus is similar and the incorrect auction only added confusion. There is no need for another opinion, it just occurred to me the trilobite is: Euloma sp.
westcoast
Thanks @piranhafor the informative review. I was thinking that eye was just way too good/natural to have been faked.
