Red Flags With Kem Kem Pterosaur!

So this tooth is up for sale right now. Described as a Pliosaurus tooth from Morocco, no restorations.

Not interested in buying, but thought about putting it here, since it looks kind of unusual to me. Especially the connection between crown and root. And the root looks kind of weird.

Any thoughts?

It's a composite.  The matrix area is the red flag.  The transition of crown to root is not even on the outer curve

Yeah, that looks like a composite. A real tooth crown and real root that were attached to each other. The discolouration in the middle is pretty telling.

I agree. As others have already said, it is all an unfortunate composition.

Looks like the tip of the crown is added on also.
